End Of The Semester Entry
Right now my weebly is up to date except the What Essay, that I am going to do after this. I like the way Mr. Stanko teachs because when a person needs him to help them he is pretty promp on helping them.(he never takes to long to get to them). I like the things we had to do in here most of the activities were fun. I didn't like a couple of things at first like the google pages but I learned to like them. The wiki was a good idea.

My Christmas Vacation
The first week of vacation was spent partying and the second week was spent being sick. I went to a Xmas party with my boyfriend's grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins on Sunday the 23rd. I got a puzzle and a flashlight. On Christmas Eve I went over to my boyfriend's house and gave them my presents. I got a computer from his family. Then, we went back to my house where my parents gave him his present and my brother and I got a present too. Brendon and I got webcams and i don't remember what my brother got. Christmas morning I got presents from my parents. I got Monsters, books, movies, and candy. Later Christmas day I went to my grandma's for Christmas. I got a lot of stuff there. Some things I got was a guitar alarm clock, movie, coffee mug, jewelry, cookies, and tons of money. That night I stayed with my cousins at my grandmas. The next morning we went to see Alvin and the Chipmunks at NCG. We then went to the mall where I got candy and 2 microphones for the computer (1 for me and 1 for my bf) Then my cousins, Monica and Mallory, and I went to the Mall with my boyfriend. I got a new shirt, coat, socks, necklace, and a hat. I got into a fight with my cousin that night and didn't stay at my grandma's that night because of it. On Thursday I did laundry and then stayed at my grandma's that night. I went home around noon on Friday. I went with my aunt, my mom, and my grandma shopping and then we dropped off my grandma at my uncles. Saturday the 29th we had a Christmas party at my house with my Mom's family. I got an mp3, digital camera(that we have to return), a puzzle, perfume, and make-up. Monday I went and stayed at my bf's house for New year's eve. I was sick so I mainly just lied down in his bed and we watched the ball drop. Then we walked up to the gas station at 1 and got monsters, pop, and chips. I went home New years morning and my tonsils were extremely swollen. I developed a fever that went up to 101.8 so my mom took me to the hospital to make sure I didn't have tonsillitis. I got blood drawn and a shot in my butt, but thankfully i didn't have tonsillitis, strep, or mono. The gave me some meds that I had to take once a day for 3 days and I am just now getting better. Friday i stayed at my boyfriend's. Saturday morning I went with my boyfriend's mom to drop him off at HHS for his wrestling meet. Then at noon his mom, his brother and I went to his meet in Union City. we only saw 2 of his 5 meets and he won 2 out of the 5 meets. Right now he is 4 and 4 . Yesterday he took me to Red lobster as a 7 month/Christmas/new years present. I got some crab/shrimp/lobster noodle thing, a toss salad, diet coke, and bread. He got clam chowder, coke, a ceaser salad, garlic grilled shrimp, fries, and bread. It was really good. He dropped me off at home about 6:30 and he took my computer home with him so that his dad could make sure my comp had a modem so that I could hook it up to the Internet. I couldn't get to sleep last night because all break I was used to staying up until 1-2, but I finally got to sleep at 11:30.

Wide Vs. Full
http://www.moviesbystarlight.com/widescreen/widescreen.htm
No, I don't think the bars cover the movie, but I do not like the black bars.
In full screen they crop the movie so that it fits the full screen.
About 30% of the screen is cut off when you watch a movie in full screen.
I have to say that I like full screen more, just because the black bars at the top and bottom irratate me.

It doesn't surprise me that Owen Wilson is okay out in the woods. He doesn't seem to be stuck up about where he sleeps. I'm not really surprised Cameron Diaz was out there either. She is really cool and one of the less stuck up preppy celebs. I'm glad they were visiting orphans.

This website has videos and pictures of the celebs, mainly Owen, in Peru.

Task 2
http://www.magazine-ads.com/COK1297.php
Coke is in the center and it drags you in. White, black, red, and green. The red, black, and white all are coke colors and there is the grass which is kinda calming. Extreme close up. It is in the center. Coke-Cola.

A child and a dad carving a pumpkin. Orange and black gives you the Halloween feel. Close up and kinda medium. well the kid and the pumpkin are on the left and the dad si on the right. I don't get it but it is for pepsi. Pepsi isnt in this picture at all

Task 1

If it is a new product they emphasize on the fact that it is new and less on the actual product.
If the product is well known then they just show it.
Sometimes they emphasize on the type/quality of the product rather than the actual product.
Sometimes the character is put in the middlle, stareing right at you.(Singleing you out)
Other times you can't see the character's face because the main focus is on the product.
Primary colors shouldnt be used as much as secondary colors.
A long shot is used so that the characters don't look cramped. You can see their whole bodies.
A medium shot is used when you can see from their waist and up.
A close up shows the shoulders and up on a character.
An extreme close up is used to zoom in on a part of a persons face to create suspense.
Top half of the page is the dominant zone.
Bottom half of the page is the foundation zone.
Left side is the zone of arrival.
Right side is the zone of departure.
Center of the page is the balance zone.
When scanning an ad a persons face scans in a z shape. (top right corner to top left corner to the bottom right corner to the bottom left corner. )

I think its a donkey and cowboy on an airplane. I'm guessing it has to deal with donkeys and cowboys in columbia and then its an ad for columbian coffee on airplanes. I didn't really get it at first and the ad is kinda a long shot, but i guess if you interpert it right it will be fine.

Web Publishing
http://www.webstyleguide.com/type/index.html
Typography is a balance of letters on a page. They don't use HTML(h1, h2) because they make it too big and less subtle. They are narrow for psycological reasons. Times New Roman is most legible. Verdana was created for the computer screen. We take words in by the shape so having all caps is bad because its jst a big rectangle. Use italics for convention on lists and titles. Use bold for subheadings. Underline is used in typewriters where bold and italics arent available. They are used to optimize the font and text. It smooths the text.
